Just finished Dead Tomorrow well done Peter a cracking read as always. The 'Roy Grace' story flows in and out of the investigations and is intriguing. Keep it going it makes the reader want more.
Whats next and when!

Thanks so much Peter! As you can see I'm really going thru your site, as I am so happy to have learned of you and your recent novel! After hearing the podcast of the Claudia Winkleman Show, it's great to watch you on Irish AM breakfast tv. And again you mention Colombia...! Pretty devasting for this poor Colombian listening to this, especially thinking that it is a problem that isn't even in the press. I'm thinking this could be linked to the fact that the ties with the USA are stronger in relation to drugs? Or that the government may be purposefully keeping organ trafficking out of public debate but cannot avoid the drug issues? So, the reading of your book in my Lit class will be accompanied by reseach of organ trafficking in Colombia and hopefully interviews with police who are familiar with the issue (if I can take it this far!). From your new fan, Lina Cifuentes.

Hi Lina
Thank you so much for this post and your really kind words.
I hope I have not been too unkind about Columbia! I have met several people from your country, all of whom have been utterly delightful and I hear it is a truly beautiful country. But yes, this story of the involvement of Columbia (and many other countries too) in the organ trade is true.
I am honoured you will be reading and discussing my book in your Lit class. And please let me know what the Police say!!!
All my very best
Peter

Hi Peter,
Thanks so much for your reply. You haven't been at all unkind about Colombia, you've only stated the bare (and appalling) fact of the countries involvement in this trade. But thanks for mentioning it!
I'll be letting you know what the Police say!
Kind regards,
Lina.

I enjoyed the book (good pace and some nice twists), but the plot has two fatal flaws. First, it is impossible for two A positive parents to have a child with AB negative bolld. Second, although AB negative is the rarest blood type, patients with this type are universal recipients, i.e. they can receive blood (and organs) of all other types.

Hi Moira
Thanks for this and your kind words.
I did have a previous reader make the same point re AB and I took this up with the liver consultant who has been helping me - and he said that it is possible. I'm going to recheck with him, and also re your second point. I try really hard to be accurate in all I write - and the book was read by two different consultants at proof state - so not sure how they missed the second point. There is time to get this corrected before the paperback in December and foreign translations and I will make any that are needed.
Thanks so much for your constructive comments.
Best regards
Peter James
