NOT DEAD YET GOES STRAIGHT IN AT NO 1 !!!

I was very delighted to read this in this week's Bookseller:

"Last Thursday (7th June) was one of the biggest days in the 2012 publishing calendar as publishers released some of their biggest titles of the year with Father’s Day in mind. According to Nielsen BookScan data, 39 different books released on 7th June sold more than 1,000 copies at UK bookshops, of which 15 were hardback publications. Chief of them all was Peter James’ Not Dead Yet (Macmillan) which sold 8,905 copies in its opening week on bookshop shelves, scoring James his third Original Fiction number one in a row."

Congratulations! I'm about a third of the way through, and the different strands are certainly keeping my brain on its toes, so to speak.

I absolutely loved the book - I don't want to rave about it and risk spoiling it, but you're doing something really wonderful with one of your characters. You absolutely deserve all the success you have had. A clever book that makes the reader thing, a slow burn and no real violence and gore. Really good stuff.

It's a sunny morning in Johannesburg and I have just finished Not Dead Yet - brilliant and had me on the edge of my seat throughout .... and it leaves the Sandy saga hanging - terrific stuff.
