I totally agree, the writing is terrible and I wont be buying the 2nd and 3rd books.

There is one up side. A friend who writes erotic literature is having one of her books reprinted in an enhanced run because of the success of this, and got an honourable mention in the Sunday Express.

I read 1222 and was not that impressed, I prefer Nesbø. Saying that can't wait to read "Not Dead Yet". It is waiting and the next on my list.

Have read all three, could have all been covered in one book. You can only take so many repeats of biting lower lip, hand through his hair, the way his trousers hang and my internal goddess blah blah blah.

First one ok, different, bit naughty but my oh my do they get repetitive and boring. I found myself skipping the sex scenes in books 2 and 3. If you want a real page turner read Peter James new novel "Not Dead Yet". There's more life in his corpses than between Christian and Ana

Would never dream of touching this and I have a huge desire to stop being haunted by it. I don't like porn. I find the fact that it's called 'mummy porn' deeply offensive as if it made it fluffy and fun. If a man had written this book there would have women from here to eternity up in arms about subjugation and such like. Hypocrisy, thy name is female.

    And anyway, Roy Grace rules.

Agree with the 50 shades comments - have almost finished the first book and struggling with boredom, repetitiveness and just want to shake Ana and tell her to stop being stupid. Can't believe a book like this can be written in this day and age as it puts women in a very bad light. Won't waste my time with the next 2 - much prefer Peter James as I can't put his books down and had the pleasure to meet him in Adelaide earlier this year.
