Got invited to a lunch in Sydney by an old friend here. "Just a bunch of mates who appreciate decent wine" he said.

Yep, he wasn't lying!!! This is what 7 of us managed to get through in a great restaurant called Le Grande Bouffe - and we still were able to walk out of the restaurant unaided! Well, my memory tells me we did.....

wow! And you managed to walk out unaided, I'm impressed! I would have finished up lying a heap singing a song about pixies...Sounds like you had a great time, are you back in UK soon?

Hey Peter. Big fan of your Roy Grace series! Just wanted to let you know that there's a website that has transcribed some of your books online for free-reading and free-download. For example, you can view the whole of 'Dead Tomorrow' from this link

I'm not sure if you're aware of this? If you've authorised them to do this then obviously that's fine, it just struck me as a bit dodgy. Wanted to let you know as I hate to see people not being rewarded properly for high-quality work such as yours.

Thank you for your very kind words. And thank you very much for alerting me to this site. This is stealing and I have absolutely not authorized it. I'm forwarding details to my publishers legal team and they will take immediate steps to have the site taken down and possibly to prosecute those behind it. Internet thieving of books is a nasty crime because it deprives authors of their livelihood. The worst place right now is Russia where 2 out of every 3 ebooks are stolen on the internet. All my best, Peter J.
